Leading a thriving professional membership organization that everyone wants to join requires more clarity, collaboration, and communication than ever before!
You know that your association has the potential to shape the profession and community you serve.
And the first step to that vision is focusing and agreeing on what really matters.
BUT everyone has different perspectives on what they want and what they want YOU to do.
Fact is…you are willing to do the work, but sometimes you need more support to breakthrough;
there are some things you can’t do alone.
Sometimes that “nose to the windowpane” syndrome and competing agendas just get in the way, and you need an outside perspective.
Hi, I'm Renee Brauns.
and I know all about what you're going through
What I do
I have spent the last 20+ years as an association executive at a national professional membership association with a total of 44,000 members, 11 Board members, 250 volunteers, and 100 staff. While I was effective at leading teams that were responsible for membership, communication, marketing, non-dues revenues, and professional development, I discovered what I enjoy the most is aligning teams – boards, volunteers, and staff – around delivering exceptional value by executing and producing consistent results for member and individual satisfaction.
Why I do what I do
I started this business because I love what mission driven membership associations stand for which is about making a difference in the lives of their members and the communities they serve.
Like you, I believe relationships are the most important part of a successful organization AND the most challenging, and what can get in the way.
By offering you my outside perspective and being your trusted advisor, I can help you foster stronger relationships in every aspect of your association to dramatically accelerate your association and membership engagement goals.
For the past 20+ years, I have helped association leaders build organizations and empower individuals that are committed to providing exceptional benefits and services
– with strategy, ease, and harmony.
As a result of working with Renee, we experienced more success than initially imagined and quicker than anticipated. We were able to move up timelines on some of our long-term goals. Renee helped validated our outlined strategies, identified next steps, and how to avoid potential challenges.
– Bob Kehm, Managing Director at AOAExcel
Renee’s assistance in providing resources that fit the needs of our organization was extremely beneficial. In addition, her willingness to assist and help problem-solve was great! Renee’s positive attitude and professionalism made it a pleasure to work with her. I changed because I saw her drive, compassion, and willingness to help others like me. She is a problem solver and takes the time to really get to know the people she works with and inspires them to do and be better.
– Garryn Marlen, M.A., Development Manager at Optometry Cares – The AOA Foundation.
Renee is always fully present in meetings, giving full attention even when I knew she had a million other priorities; that is something I've tried to emulate. Renee focuses on the unique individual, their unique needs, and who they are when identifying solutions.
